how could you call them coward's first of all they did save lives. and secondly that's technically not even there job to run into a burning building and save people, there job is to enforce the law ! but they did anyway out of bravery. It was their job to secure the are and make sure civilians got away from the towers and that no more came near the towers.

alot of the officers that responded did run in. But their job was to get people out.Should they have lost more officers to prove their point? No, they ran in as was their job, to get people out and the fact that they didnt lose that many officers shows of their success, not fear. Another thing, their job was also to close Manhattan down and keep people from entering the towers. Dont imply that the officers that died died in vain.
