Yes, she was left handed, and I believe they did have lefty guitars way back when she first learned. Libba said that she tried a lefty guitar (or at least a guitar with a left handed set up) and that she just couldn't play it. So she took a normal guitar and played it upside down, which was probably a bit less expensive.

I'm a lefty too I've got one guitar stringed for left handed but, I can't play it that way. I'm so used to right handed way. I know it seems odd but, Nothing wrong with being a lefty and playing it in a right handed world. She was so cool.... Jimi H. Played that way also :).
