Not the best quality of this beautiful duet of Nelson Eddy and Jeanette McDonald, but I had to put it up. I wish they would release their movies to DVD!
They were the greatest and their real life story one of the saddest I have ever heard. I first saw one of their movies when I was a teen (both had died before I was even born)

I'm just beginning to get into Jeanette and Nelson. It's so sad reading about their real life story. I think this is the film where in real life they had split up and jeanette got really emotional during this scene. their love for each other really comes through. You can't beat the classics! ^_^

Setting the record straight-Jeanette MacDonald International Fan club was NOT started in 1937 by Clara Rhoades.The club was started in the Fall of 1938 by Canadian Mary Miller.Clara became a member in the Fall of 1949 and the 5th President in 1962.The club is in Limbo the past 8 yrs.Just wish someone would take over and get it going,to keep lovely Jeanette's name alive.

This wpmderful duet introduced me for the first time -- I think -- to the word 'sweetheart'. Needless to say, at a Roy Rogers and Hoppalong Cassidy-age, such words were for only for sissies. That's why, unlike Autry and Rogers, Hoppy was the best! He never kissed any mushy girls... Viva Hoppy!

We all have a twin flame or other half; when God created us as balls of living fire, He split us into both male & female halves; since then, we have tragically, as the Famed Love Birds' movies goes, in the matter universe, we lost touch with our other self. In this New Age, we are meant to reunite once again as ONE and find TRUE love.
