Philip Galss leaves a lot of the composition the be filled by the performer. If you pick other pianists playing this, and compare, it looks like a chimp playing next to a gentleman. Bruce Brubaker, to me, is amazing. This is avant-garde music. I don't think he is trying too hard. I just think that he IS too good:)
