Great song by a great underated band. As a teenager back in the 70's it baffled me how bands like Starz and Angel never made it "Big". After all these years it still does, especially seeing other bands with much less talent become huge. Thanks for the posts!

From NYC. Saw them back up Rush in Memphis on Hemispheres tour. Great song to play cruising with girlfreind. I saw Rex Smith too with REO and Head East. That show that night he kicked ass.

What a brilliant song! I found this band's Violation album in a charity shop for something ridiculous like 50p, thought it looked interesting, took it home and played this opening track about six times in a row! Just fantastic. Imagine how great radio would be if modern bands all sounded half as good as this!

Yes, Rex was the baby of the family of four boys. Both Rex and Michael live in LA now, as does brother Evan. Webster lives in New York. I once said to Richie Ranno, Michael sounds like Rex ! And he corrected me, "No, REX sounds like MICHAEL . . " In the early REX (the band) days there is a real similarity. Michael told me recently that at a party he and Rex had a singing competition, and Michael had won. I don't know what the competition involved . . .

Growing up in Indiana in the 70's, Starz was one of my favorites. Too bad they weren't heard by more. Back then, music was more localized; driven by local radio. Fortunately, this was a band that was promoted somewhat here. Ah, the memories of summer nights, raging hormones and the back seat of my Ford Maverick... Starz was one of those bands that the girls really responded to :)
