I don't have any strong emotions about the Rollers, then or now- but this is a seriously kickass performance that only suffers from the dodgy audio of the clip itself. Don't remember seeing them as a 4 piece back in the day. This version really benefits from Eric's raunchy leads, sadly not on the studio version. Great Vanda & Young tune!

Eric was the real singer in the band. Les was a mediocre singer who got by on looks and balls. It was only later as an adult that I realized this. Just like in 2008 everyone knows that Nikki Sixx was a better singer than Vince Neil in The Crue.

Emobutterflylady, are you truly serious? I met Eric Faulkner in the late 80's when he was touring with a back up band as the Bay City Rollers and he couldn't sing a lick! Eric was the guitarist, mediocre at that too, but definitely NOT the real singer in the band. Also, you haven't a clue as to what you're talking about when you say that Nikki Sixx is a better singer than Vince Neil. Nikki himself says he is not a singer and prefers not to sing at all. Get your facts straight sister!

I saw Eric's Bay City Rollers back in the early 90's locally here in Redondo Beach and his singing was awesome and a zillion ladies in this world agree...Les had always been my favorite because his voice just had that certain something but Eric can hold his own so take a chill pill Michii64 and go listen to some cheap trick or something...
