1. The thing I'm curious about (this happened in a Beetlejuice episode, too) is...why can't the umpire call him out? Since the score is tied, that menas *the game continues*. So you can have your controversial non-finish or whatever without the umpire being hopelessly deadlocked. 2. Boy, those balls are wound *tight*, aren't they?
