i would like to point out to the americans who say that the united states saved the world by entering ww2 the fact that there is a number of botched american operations... D:Day itself... you guys ended up down the beach from where you were supposed to land... where as Canada completed our objectives ahead of schedule... Not to mention the crazy trench raiding Canadian soldiers!!!! ha ha

Great Britain winning Battle of Britain single handedly in 1940 inflicting Nazi's first defeat was major...BUT...
Russia having the #1 military of all allies at WWII their victory at Stalingrad in 1943 was "THE turning point of the war", the bloodiest battle and the clincher, victory a formality now.
Yanks alone would have been massacred by full strength Nazi army. Think Pearl harbor x 100...or how a half dozen untrained muslims raped New York. Russia were the single greatest allie in WWII

Churchill was and is a good man! But if he was the most important part why does it seem to me that England would of lost and still would be lost if it wasn't for the most important man, not English, not American, but the individual soldier, and they are composed of all thats forgetten in this day and age!

If Great Britain could of won the war on their own then why did Churchill beg and plead the Americans to join the fight! I know, because Great Britian in all of it's might, could'nt with-stand the on-slaught of the fire-power of Germany and Japan alone.,, ( Not to mention Austria and Italy. ,,)_ So please anyoneone bourn without a clue do your HISTORY!

Maybe but we played a bigger part in the war than the USA. We fought from 1939, USA from 1941. Until 1941, we stood alone against Hitler and the Axis.
The USA in all its might couldn't withstand the Vietcong! Embarassing!

Excuse me??...i never said Great Britain could have won the War on their own. No allie could...only Russia as the #1 military power at the time would have given the Nazis a good fight...they did kill over 76% of Nazi forces

im only 22 but since being a kid ive always loved history excpecially learning about the war and listening to me grandad story about his war days and watching that vid made me even more proud to be english and respect to all that lost there lives and the ones that returned home alive, and me grandad always says every1 was hero but even more so the ones that didnt return home alive R.I.P nice job on vid

I hope you don't think for one minute that the USofA made all the difference. The only difference that Britain and the USofA made was that the Iron Curtain came down where it did instead of on the English Channel Coast. the USSR had Germany beaten without a British or American soldier in France. Also don't forget that it was Hitler who declared war on the US and if he hadn't they would have stayed out of it and gone off to defeat the Japs - who never had a chance anyway.

OK..with the Soviets as the Superpower of the allies killed over 7.7 million Germans (75% +)..then in 1945 summit america requested Soviets help defeat Japan of which huge Soviet invasion of Manchuria a key victory. Without the Russians we aint speakin English today
