Well, at least bigotry makes some people feel good about themselves. You are making quite a false generalization by the way. It is generally unacceptable for anybody of any race to hold their race in superior regards to others. As a black person I know that, for one thing, we do not all have the same comedic tastes (some have bad taste others have good taste), and in general it is never funny to assert the inferiority of a whole group of people.

Basically, Caucasians can't use that word because of something that happened a long time ago, something they had no control over. African-Americans (I'm not saying African-Americans in general, just a few) like to hold this seemingly pointless grudge against Caucasians. If you are a slave, or have expericenced discrimination firsthand by any other race, then yeah, that's completely different, but if you have never been a slave, never been discriminated against by any other race, then no, you have no right. It doesn't seem like a insult today, people use that word all the time, casually, with their friends. The original word, the one with the -er ending (a word even I can't stand), is an insult, plain and simple, that was it's purpose, it's nothing more than a durogatury (however the fuck you spell it) term. The variation of the word, which is "nigga", is not offensive at all, depending on how you use it.
