This is my favorite performance of Schumann's Papillons thusfar. My teacher assigned me this work recently but i only started studying it seriously after watching Mr. Pfeffer's perfomance. Excellent!

He's got a long way to go in assimilating rhythmic concepts that belong to Schumann's times.He doesn't divide his hands well or frequently...he doesn't vary beat placement as did Schumann's era constantly...but that said...He is expressive in intent and he at least succeeds in part conveying that.
