A friend of mine was a swing in this show, and he had two sets of can-can boots because the tumblers had a lower heel than the other cagelles... I believe the cagelles had 3.5-4 inch heels, the tumblers probably had 1.5-2 inch. I saw the broadway production and the tumblers wore tennis shoes, not boots, but since it was on TV I suppose they made them wear the tumbling shoes.

He's in the middle during the splits, and when they throw the dancers into splits he is one of the ones they jump over. His sister jumped up and pointed him out during the original telecast
