Really tasteful and fluent, expressive playing. Great tone - less thin than the usual gypsy jazz sound and nicer for that too. John is doing this music a great service in adding it to his repertoire. This gets more people to appreciate the style and that can only be good.

Hmmm....I have to disagree Im afraid. He's a good player and this swings nicely, but he doesnt hold his notes for long enough. He just needs to hold back a bit and not rush. He has the feeling for it but all that Telecasting has made him into a "shredder" instead of true swinger!

I've seen him play twice, and all I can say is his musichianship is phenomenal. It's inspiring, and I hope to go see his show again someday... Thank you for uploading this video.
