I am not sure about the guitar itself, but the player was Jack Pruett. Pruett was Marty's guitarist for almost his whole career. I always thought the guitar was a Gibson Les Paul, but I could be incorrect. Regardless, he was fantastic!

Perhaps his usual guitar was a Gibson Les Paul, but what he's playing here is a big hollow electric archtop with a tailpiece bearing an "F" like the one on the Fender logo.

I saw him drive his last race in Atlanta in November 1982 (I think that is the right year). He passed away a couple of weeks later.
