| ...I think that many people that did the Instant Karma CD kind of did a bad job covering these masterpieces by John Lennon. Seriously...Christina Aguleira did Instant Karma?! WHY?! Whether I like green day or not is irrelevant to my opinion on this cover. Though many may say they did a good job, Green Day is really out of place in this song. It's supposed to be a soft melody, not some "punk" song. Hell, some kids think this version is better than the original...thats depressing. |

| As sad as the stories are, I think putting it in this retrospect makes the song lose it's actual meaning. It's about how fucked up the system is in the "high class" communities and how they're generally screwing you over. Like, the "keep you doped with religion and sex and TV" line, that's not about what they're showing here at all. :/ |
