Its a glitch called the murder beam. With Ice, spazer, wave, and charge beams equipped. Charge your beam to max. Select the speed booster then hit left and the fire button at the same time to equip all five beams. Now unpause and fire to the left. If you fire the beam when it is uncharged or facing any direction but left, the game will freeze.
