I remember watching this and being shocked out of my Dodger Jersey! Roger Kahn was trying to save Al's butt and so was Ted. But Al kept digging himself a grave. Branch Ricky and Jackie Robinson are two of my greatest heroes!

You know as a black man, I won't vilify Campanis for saying this. I think he really did believe that black's weren't smart enough.
There's always the disingenuous, self serving bigots, but a more sinister kind is the completely truthful, ignorant bigot.
