i've been playing the viola for 5 years now.. usually i get tired of playing a certain instrument but for some reason i haven't gotten tired of the viola
i've gone through 8 instruments before i found the one that i truly liked

Agreed! Poeple should just be more prepared to buy. I got the Urtext edition of 7 sonatas for vilin by Handel, the quality's fantastic and it only costed £20

My preference to it is it's heartier nature. It's all so less offensive to my ears which are damaged and cannot easily tolerate the shrill sound of the violin, which I honestly wish I could appreciate more. Still, I think that the appeals of the modern viola are more common in the _Baroque_ violin with its gut strings--my point being that one with preference to the viola might actually like the violin more if it were a Baroque type.

I've been in orchestra for going on 7 years (would have been 8 if I didn't switch schools and back again lol)... I play the viola, but not this good. Sounds rather bad in my hands but this is incredible!

i want to take up the viola i am 16 years and i want to be a profesional musician, i play the violin i started at 6 so i have quite a good knowledge of the instrument
