OH YEAH!!! Excellent song from Schenkers best album...MSG Rules! It's great to hear Michael has Gary Barden back singing for MSG and he also finally got an all-star band! Can't wait to get the new album... Thanks for this fine posting and hopefully the new MSG will produce gems like this!

My favorite MSG song! Funny though, Simon Phillips played drums on the album and Mo Foster played bass. Cozy Powell and Chris Glen are in this mime vid, so is Paul Raymond..

This guy might have been a bigger name if not for Eddie Van Halen.
Micheal Schenker ... ( 2 months ago by WolfgangRohan)
Micheal Schenker influenced waaaaay more musicians than Eddie Van Halen. He began with the Scorpions in 1969! In 1975 he was asked to join the Rolling Stones and declined. His work with UFO is still regarded as some of the best guitar solos ever. He is regarded as a 20th Century Mozart for heavy metal having brought classical 5th's into a blues-based rock. ANYONE in the professional heavy-metal business knows that Micheal is VERY tempermental BECAUSE he is VERY good--like Mozart.Check out UFO.

As I understand it, the great Frank Zappa wrote a letter to Eddie commenting that he reinvented the guitar. Ritchie Blackmore introduced classical elements more so than Schenker. As for solos, I think George Lynch can blaze as well as Schenker... so can the mighty Buck Dharma - the ultimate triple threat. But to each his own. History has already put MS pretty much where he belongs.

I'll agree with all those comments, and I'm a huge fan of all those guys. I've seen them all including EVH 16 times w/ VH before SH joined the band...I suggest you take a look at the Documentary "Too Hot to Handle" and hear all the artist's remarks about MS's influence on rock music..btw George Lynch is a guitar ninja and even has his own guitar dojo. Very Cool dude!Tera del Feugo is one of my fave's of George's!

There's a documentary called 'Too Hot To Handle' The Story of UFO and many muscians state how much MS influenced "Heavy Metal".Correction: Scorpions formed in 1965! OMFG. 1st album:1969. just got an email from Rudolph and Klaus. Buckethead my current fave right now. Check him out. Amazing!!
Are we talking ... ( 2 months ago by EUguitarRULE)
Are we talking about the same EVH who toured with UFO in 78 in Seattle. Is this the same EVH that asked Phil Mogg if he can join and replace Michael Schenker. In Phil's own word thats a big shoe to fill and Phil thought Eddie didnt have the bottles to do it. Plus Eddie answered himself and thought he wasnt good enough.

Find me a great instrumental solo that you think Blackmoore did that was better than Into the Arena and Captain Nemo remember this was early 80's that Schenker wrote this piece.

Blackmore is great. Buck Dharma is the maestro and the triple threat - virtuoso guitarist, amazing songwriter, and great singer. Oh yeah, the last days of May....

Cracking riffage !!! I love all this old-skool rock stuff ,I'm just turned 29 and I'm a raver at heart ; but these style rock classics strike a simular euphoric note , freakin' love it !!
