haha! wow ok i didn't think i needed to bring in the science but here it goes, its called kinetic linking, thats when the power comes from your legs and flows into your fist....which is exactly what baseball players need to do in order to have a correct swing or throw, look it up kid. plus a lot of what i said came from a conversation i saw between randy couture and joe rogan about baseball players that join MMA... yeah those guys really have no idea what they're talking about. you're so smart!

You answer is a total joke. 2 different animals in throwing a punch and swinging a bat. I boxed and coached for years as well as played my share of softball. They are nothing alike. In fact, the steps are different as well as body positioning. I wouldn't put too much credit in an announcer and a wrestler. Vic was a trained fighter and you saw how a trained fighter handled a pro ball player. With ease. You didn't bring anything to this but your ignorance.

Now you are starting to change your comments...you were talking about a baseball SWING in you rprevious post which is nothing like throwing a punch. Now you are going with a pitch because they push off and then grossly overextend, all the while losing any resemblence of balance or defense. Just because you share a very minute portion of an action does not make it anywhere near throwing a punch. The arm motion and body positioning are totally different.

I am sorry that you take 1 small portion of a documentary and twist it into complete and utter nonsense. If you looked close enough you would be able to compare many physical motions. WTF? This make absolutely no sense. A good punch is a good punch, period. Now, I would agree that pretty much all MMA fighters do not throw a good punch. Because of this they don't take punches that well either. Also, just because someone doesn't have a sports background doesn't mean they couldn't beat a FB player. FB has nothing to do with boxing at all. So please stop son. You're losing an sense of credibility you almost had.

Look son, I have said there is a commonality, but it is a VERY small one. Baseball players barely classify as athletes. Just because they share a trait with Boxers does not mean they could ever do what boxers do. I had a kid that walked on to Indiana(as an offensive lineman)come out train for a month, started sparring and was gone with the quickness. College Baseball huh? So that makes you 35 now or so right? How many fights do you have under your belt now? Near 50 or more right?

Obviously, die hard baseball fans are going to come to Jose's defense. I've always refered to baseball as a "pastime" more than a "sport". I don't ever remember a baseball player being carried off the field due to streneuous exertion.
