ok pantera was great metallica was great first bands i ever listened to but sepultura was excellent and they only use standard tuning on a couple of songs the rest ive seen are either drop c or drop b tuning and this deathcore metalcore stuff, these bands are the metallicas and panteras of this new age of music

sometimes music is more about a feeling generated than any sort of message from the band.
im a much bigger fan of a band that can make me feel because music is much bigger than words... quite literally... which is why i enjoy metal and classical music, because its about the music. not someones personal views on life.
for instance, metal music invokes emotion, while say, rap music doesnt, because theres no depth to it.
