You CAN blame the Republicans for the state the economy is in, but you can ALSO blame the Democrats for not making strides to fix it.
The ugly truth is that, for political reasons the Democrats have done nothing because most people associate the Economy with the President. SO they haven't done anything on purpose to help Barack get elected.
