Wow! What a voice. I think Patti rivals Aretha Franklin, Gladys Knight, and Etta James. I wish she hadn't given up singing and kept at it. I still appreciate what she did do. Patti Drew, Tammi Terrell, Brenda Holloway, the most gorgeous black soul sisters of their time, all three didn't get the chance to become as big as they should. Patti is the Queen of Chicago Soul. I hope she writes a book on her life. Beyonce, Rihanna, Ciara, Cassie, Christina Milan wish they could sing as good as Patti.

Jus luv how Patti Drew worked this. So fabulous. There's a "place" that's the magic of her vocal groove. It's like you can GO THERE. So unique; it's sooo it's own thing, know wot' I mean, mon?
