Al-Qaeda's goal is to set up a Muslims caliphate by destroying what they consider apostate regimes in the Middle East. All they have managed to do is kill thousands of people, earn the scorn of more moderate Muslims, and hide in caves sending out cheesy videos. They also brought the wrath of the West upon them and have actually encouraged democracy in Saudi and Lebanon and facilitated Qadafi giving up his nuke program. Not quite a victory.

Just to fix a few things, we put in about 550,000 troops, and the UK was in Desert Storm(they sent the famous Desert Rats 5 Armoured Division which is a few thousand troops) and there were dozens of other countries, that sent thousands. In this war now, its practically just us and the new Iraqi and Afghani Governments

Just a little thing to say... We can not end this war. I am a STRONG supporter of it, don't get me wrong, but these people are completely controlled by their religious leaders, and in the Koran it sais to kill Infidels(the religious leaders minipulate this to get everyone against this) although, most of the people that hate us really only SAY it, because in these mobs when they say it, are radicals which pubically execute you if you do not say to kill the "infidels"
