Video Description:
The Algerian war of Independence through the perspective of a French officer, in a story that mixes past and present. The film is nicely directed by Laurent Herbiet, but the real strength is in the screenplay by Costa-Gavras. The movie is beautifully acted by all the cast, but the cameo made by Charles Aznavour is particularly poignant.

| That is utter bullshit. There was 300 000 dead people (both French and Alerians) max. The number you give is propaganda spread by the Islamic dictature which took over after the war. |
