Українське суспільство ще й досі у масі своїй перебуває у полоні нав'язаних комуністичною пропагандою міфологізованих уявлень про національну історію, і в тому криється величезна небезпека для майбутнього держави.

UPA started it... AK wanted to cooperate, sended messengers... Ukrainins cut thier heads. Then followed actions like "smert liahom" in sundays, in churches at one day were killed thousands people in plenty villages, AK responded with the same.
AK never wanted to fight against Ukrainians, UPA wanted to "clean" Ukraine, even from Ukrainians who didn`t supported them, that`s all.

Ukrainians hated Poles already and i`m not suprised, i`m not proud of closeing Ukrainian shools and all of that policy which followed "sanacja" after 1926 coup d`etat... but that was nothing to be compared with holodomor.
There could be such incidents with NKVD, but UPA wanted to kill or kick out all of Poles who lived there, that started even before soviets camed to the Galizia.

Ternopolianyn, I'm afraid you are mistaken - UPA did mass murder Polish civilians, the most of these murders happened in 1943, when the whole area was under German, NOT Soviet military control. BTW if you are really interested, study the history of OUN - the political party which created UPA - it was a extremist fascist party, similiar to the German Nazis or the IRA or ETA - they were patriots,true, but also extremists and fascits.

the only thing i can recomend u is to learn history not just from polish (or russian) historians...
anyway,im not gonna argue or start any discussion with u or somebody else. cos it wont lead to anything and im so fed up of all that sh..t. i dont have anything against poles and dont teach me the history of my country.

Ternopolianyn, the unfortunate truth is, that you write things like above then you do NOT know the history of your own country... it's like with Turkey and the Armenian Genocide - denial of uncomfortable truth on Turkish (Ukrainian) side. If you really want to know the truth, simply input "John-Paul Himka White Spots" - it's an article written by Ukrainian historian, exactly about the "White Spots" in Ukrainian historical awareness.
