Many people have had problems with ratings and the like. Seems they (including me) often are quick to point the finger. Some times justly, sometimes unjustly. Maybe it would be better for everyone to realize that its just HOW IT IS. It's a Part of being out here on YouTube.

Do you think Youtube really care's, Youtube only care's about generating revenue which they have been very good in doing after all its a business and the best of luck to them, but to think they actually give a damn about a few adverse comments or complaints from a few user's is actually lacking in understanding,I mean no disrespect.

Like trustandfaith said. I never even look at ratings on videos. I suggest that people don't waste time feeling 'sorry' for other Vloggers being targetted, as if it's a big deal. Only if someone loves the Ego trip, will they even care about what appears (low or high). Vlogging is surely about sharing what you want? (however it is seen by others). Blogging gets this too. Some give up if they don't get constant comments. That ain't the sign of a genuine Blogger. It is the sign of a wannabe star.

Thanks for the intelligent videos. I watched your vid re users "right" first and wanted to compliment you on it. I got here via Greg Solomon who was another fresh glass of water in a desert of many idiots. Perhaps You Tube should think about using IP addresses instead of email accounts to identify users. Zen Mate. I Know what you mean. 1 Of my videos was - Number 1 most rated on the WHOLE of youtube. For like 10 minutes. Then all of a sudden it went down to 2/3 stars. They seem to do it to all my videos.. Its pathetic.

Hey Zen. I totally agree with you here that it's important to reply to each and every comment recieved on a video. I still do as many as I can, just through my YT inbox. But I've noticed today that I can't seem to do that anymore? Does this mean I have to go back to commenting on the actual video page?
As for ratings.. I give 5 stars to every friend I watch. But for my vids.. I really don't give a crap if they get high or low ratings. xx

The thing I hate about ratings is the fact that you can rate multiple times on one video right away. There's a block on comments if you post a few, so shouldn't there be some type of block on ratings? One per person should be enough. I had some guy do that to me just because I argued with him.

I don't like those who cheat. I don't know why... It really bothers me.
But those who delete the cookie to rate over and over again to bring someone down. Personally, I think we should boycott the ratings page so that the "cheaters" don't get their views. That said, there are some who aren't controversial that uses the ratings to judge themselves on how they are doing.

I personally don't care if my ratings go either way, but when people get rewarded for misdeeds, it does bother me. Then throw in my friends who work hard to get high ratings, it bothers me.
