Minor point here - Dave Allen wasn`t British! This seems to have got a little out of hand. British humour covers a wide spectrum, and it really isn`t all "gentle". And Dave Allen could be pretty damned savage. Don`t judge the man by one sketch.

Stop and think that perhaps you're attributing too humor to the corpus of British humor, assuming that it's all understated and brilliant.
Give it a rest. A princess who laughs nonstop at a man's penis. Wow, AMAZING--Neither Wilde nor Twain had such poignant social commentary.

It's simply good clean humour, silly and funny...simple and yet excellent, and Dave's face at the end says it all lol. Why the f**k do people try any take humorous sketches seriously or pick them apart critically...it's a humorous sketch, just watch it and enjoy as is. If you want politics or philosophy find another more suitable video.

Dave Allen is one of my all time favorites. Some of his stuff can be predictable but that wouldn't stop me watching or enjoying it. His stuff can be enjoyed by anybody young or old except reubenthetadpole. So reubenthetadpole if you don't like it don't watch it. I find it funny that someone who hasn't even made a video or posted a video can comment on a Genius like Allen the way he does.
