You should definitely go see her! Don't pass up an opportunity to listen to great jazz, especially when there is so much crappy music out there (metal, hard rock, teeny bopper bands, etc.).

Okay then. I'm gonna do it. I first heard of Candy from a Pure Moods CD. Her greatest song "Lily was here" is on that CD and that song is what got me into her. Too bad the movie of that song is international, so I don't know if I'll ever get to see it. I think she's been performing for almost 20 years now. I hope she'll perform "Lily was here" when she comes to New York.

So far, every YouTube video that has Candy performing is a song that I hope she performs at the BB King Club in New York. I'm slowly becoming a notable fan of hers and seeing her on Monday will definitly determine that.

I saw her show yesterday and it was a night to remember. I got a great seat, she played so many great songs which included "Lily was here" and "Picking up the pieces", and best of all, I got her autograph and her picture with me on my phone. I'm gonna buy her Montreaux concert DVD now, and if she's performing anywhere near you, SEE HER!!!!! Try listening to her music and not try to dance around. NYC saxophonists are more the straight ahead type. She has never wanted to be that type, and does well with the style she strays toward. And yes, being marketable is part of success, in music, business in general, as is in life in general also.

I agree w/you 100%. If people will listen to Lily Was Here and know who Dave Stewart is, he actually gave her the part of playing that song in a Dutch movie. The rest is history. She is one of my favs but Boney is my man and Metropolis is my song.....
