I'm commenting on behalf of my husband (Vietnam vet). "Without soldiers you can't have war, but then again freedom has a price, singing songs of freedom has a price, who pays the price for freedom? Soldiers." That's is all he had to say..he walked off with tears in his eyes. Personally I think Buffy has a lot to say, but so does my husband. He hates war, he didn't go to Nam because he wanted to. He earned three Purples and is disabled because of it. I am torn, but will stand by him.

freedom only has that price because there was a soldier first, if theres no one to blindly follow orders then there is no threat to freedom,at least not one to be fought by soldiers.

Then tell me why they were the only ones who were assholes and spit on their audience? And you think they weren't mainstream? Ask almost anyone about punk and you will hear two names, the ramones and the sex pistols. They were both as mainstream as punk got, and the pistols were just about anarchy. The true punk bands were just as much against crimes against humanity as hippies, granted there are many differences but to say that there are no similarities is just ignorance.
