Actually you do lose a little bit of evolution, but not that much, nothing that affects your possibility to advance. But if you do die alot, lets say a hundred times, you will lose much evolution progress. Next time when you playing, keep a close watch at your evolution and you will see what i mean. It was meant to be realistic like the actually species, for example if many of them died, the species will decrease in advancement.But, like evolution, in order to survive they will adapt in defense.

Its really odd because the graphics look better in what they preview us than in game -_-. for instance, the landscape isn't nearly that detailed. theres not tons of movable plants / grass there or roads of that color and such. and usually the forests aren't that dense. and from what i saw on TV the lighting isnt too beautiful either. Oh well i still love that game soooooooooooooooooo much xD
