man i'm just sitting on my ass watching this on YOUTUBE and it's transcendent. i can't even imagine what'd it be like to hear this live.
How the hell do songs like theirs get written?
Nobody knows it, though. It's the last track off of their first album called "Spirit They've Gone, Spirit They've Vanished". Technically, the artist is listed as "Avey Tare and Panda Bear" since they hadn't adopted the "Animal Collective" moniker yet.
Oh, and Panda Bear's drumming is the best on that album, by far. Virtuosic, even.
cause, I'm from Sweden, and a few years ago there was this Reverend here (Åke Green) who preached about the sin of homosexuality. He is crazy. Anyway, it was a big media circus over here. I think the song is about that/sung to him. I don't think he listens to Animal Collective. Maybe we should send him a tape?
Reverend Green is the nickname for their manager.
But where did their manager get the nickname from? And the lyrics - isn't the song like an hommage to humanity? "I think it's alright we are together" "I think it is alright to feel inhuman": just be together!
It is not that easy to be human and we should be thankful: "Lucky child don't know how lucky she is". Why care about what is wrong and right. Something like that... Atleast that's my interpretation of the song.
It could be about homosexuality, right?
Perhaps it'll send a message to the world that feverish is not something that arises veal so little.
very cool song
