It is not low, it is smart. It is not just about Shaq missing freethrows, it is more about disrupting their offense so that they can not break away. Besides, all Shaq has to do is make his free throws.

It might be an effective stategy, but it's LOW CLASS. If there're good enough team why do the cheap shots. It justs makes them look bad, and they don't need to do it in the FIRST QUARTER.

its not low class. everybody does it to shaq cuz nobody can stop him. i mean u try to stop him without fouling. thats what makes the spurs great cuz theyre smarter than everyone else. ur just hating cuz u probably lost money betting on the suns. lol. and the reason the spurs lost the reg season is cuz the starters dont play alot in the reg season so theyre rested when it comes to the playoffs then they get alot of mins. and nobody else has a complete team like them to do that so they are great

Bowen is know as the dirtiest player in the league(also one if not the best defender), you'd have to have some major blinders on not to recogonize that, and Horry's stint with the Spurs have been by his cheap shot on Steve Nash last year. bamboo they are not the most hated team only sun's fans feel that way because the spurs always beat the suns but anyways um few years ago shaq use to be in a team called the los angels lakers (named after the many lakes in Minnesota) Shaq was know to be a terrible free throw shooter so they would use the tactic called hack a shaq because it rhymes yet they won three champions can you explain this to me and why the suns cant win a series?

ur an idiot. in sports its all about catching a rythm. no matter how great u are if u dont catch a rythm u aint gonna do shit. thats why they did it in the first. thats the difference. if shaq catches a rythm hes gonna score when he gets fouled. if he doesnt get that rythm he doesnt score and misses both free throws most likely. thats the diff. foul in the first he shoots two. wait till the fourth he has a chance in getting a 3 pt play everytime thats when it will be too late.

i never said it was less classy. i dont think its low class at all. i think its just smart basketball. doing the hackashaq is perfectly legal. theres no rules against it. u do what u gotta do to win. if a team can find an advantage over the other they use it. shaq cant shoot free throws thats the advantage for the spurs. so they use it. great teams take advantage of other teams weaknesses.
