It's a stupid comment because it has no reasoning behind it. Give me a good reason why you think Dallas should have won that year...from what I saw the niners not only had a better record but a better team...that year. Don't just come in hear talking crap with nothing to back it up.

Umm...I don't think you read his comment good enough. He said the "Dallas Cowboys would have won [their] 3rd straight super bowl", if the 49ers had not beat them in the NFC Championship game. That's more than likely an accurate statement, seeing that the Cowboys and 49ers were the top two teams in the league from 1992-96. No offense to the Bills, but the Packers were also number three. NFC was dominant.

But, Julius, who beat the Pack in 97? The underrated Denver Broncos from 97 and 98, the most underrated teams of all time and the breakers of the NFC streak. That was no small feat because the 97 Packers were better than the 92 and 93 Cowboys. The Atlanta team that Denver beat, though, was mediocre, I must admit. A Den-Min SB in 98 would have been one of the top-3 SB's of all time.

Steve Bono was the back up. Joe missed almost 2 entire seasons. They gave him the second half of the final game vs. DET when the Niners already had the home field advantage wrapped up and really had nothing to play for in the rest of the game. I recorded that game and still have it somewhere. He threw 2 TD's and passed 35,oo0 career passing yards that game!

Actually, that game was not a that much of a turning point as Joe's injury during the '91 and '92 seasons had nothing to do with the hit that knocked him out of the game. It was related to elbow problems and the surgery he had to correct it. The only real fall out was the departure of Lott and Craig.

I don't know why NFL films didn't add the Fight between Rison and Sanders? It was a big deal that week and was the highlight of the game. They had bad blood leading up to that week and it's a shame they didn't mention it. I guess the producers wanted to focus more on Dallas than any other team or enemy.

the only knock on troy aikman is that he had a big dick. it used to slow him down in the games. other than that problem, he could play for anybody and lead them to the superbowl. just face it, he was that good.
