I think the problem isnt that he took steroids, its that he took them AND became the best ever.
Who cares? there are tons upon tons of guys who have used all kinds of stuff. nobody says anything about x-plode or creatine or any of that stuff... but it is performance enhancing too. He takes more heat because he used steroids and was productive. What about all those guys who took it and did nothing?
I think the attitude of most people is "yea you can take steroids, just dont hit homeruns."

Im not from SF but im guessing that the city hasnt had this kind of thrill since Joe Montana threw the pass to Dwight Clark.

By the way even if barry bonds took steroids it would not help him time the ball better or swing better however it enables him to hit the ball harder
