I met him personally! He was in Hagen (Germany) several years ago giving a workshop and a concert. My mom is a very good friend of the organizer and had take a part in the Workshop.
I was talking to him a litle while.
He's a great person too!

hes getting old now though. not old as in out of date. but old as in grey hairs etc. shame really. i reckon he should store ALL his guitar knowledge on a disk and then give it to someone young so they can be the next him. and so on. not too many people because that'd kill the style. but i wish it would be me :)

Well, he plays every part of that guitar except the STRAP... and I am sure he would play that if he thought of a way to incorporate it into a song! :-) The biggest acoustic talent of our time... worldwide... bar none! The guy plays 340 gigs a year EVERYWHERE! And, he is a nice guy (see Tommy Emmanuel Talking Heads - Parts 1 through 6)... it's a great look at his life and what a story! :-)

I believe this was the concert I was at, I believe it was one of the best nights of my life, everybody in the audience including non-guitarists were amazed for 2 whole hours, the video doesnt show the full energy of the live action but thanks for the vid!
