Hip hop was once a-lot more conscious. Artists put meaning into the words. They rapped about life, being positive & role models like Martin, Mandela, Garvy, Malcolm. They spoke of education, improving lives, being a good father & stop crime. Nowadays 99.9% of rap is mindless, no message just empty words with 0 substance. Rap was executed with amazing lyrical word play & flow. Forget where you've come from & you become directionless. Now this isn't moving fwds. It's called destroying an artform!
