Video Description:
Easily the biggest upset of the 2007 AFL Premiership Eagles. The Brisbane Lions, coming off a 7 match streak without a win faced the toughest assignment in the competition in travelling to Perth to take on the righing premiers at Subiaco Oval.
Considering that theLions, even during their premiership dynasty found the Eagles a very tough side to beat, no one gave the Lions a chance, with the bookies instilling the Eagles as unbackable favorites.
What transpired was a massive surprise, and will go down as one of the greatest matches in Brisbane Lions club history. A victory that was made even sweeter by the fact that the players wore the final strip of the Fitzroy Football Club.

Brisbane were playing with 21 players after Jed Adcock went down in the first 10 minutes yet still managed to their way into the front in the third before running out of legs.
Eagles will need to be better than that at home this year if they are to do well.

i wont point out and rub in that our players dont run away from booze buses or are drug takers. besides, brisbane are still in a rebuilding stage, where they have some experienced players, but quite a few youngsters. honestly, if west coast can only struggle to beat brisbane i cant see them winning the premiership this year. so stop talking crap. we will see how well you do against the contending teams this year without main man judd. u just worry about not having players in legal trouble.

I love that jumper. I think it's fair for us to wear that jumper in Melbourne. Every year they seem to ignore Fitzroy's history & stats but not the Brisbane Bears. It's like the AFL treat like we never existed. So the only way to keep the memory of my old club alive & show that we do care about our Melbourne supporters is to wear this jumper go the brissie royboys.
