I showed this video in my woman studies class in college during a presentation. This portrays an adolescent male who does not live up to western society's gender standard for masculinity... that's why he is considered a "nerd"... because he acts in ways that are considered "feminine" and not stereotypical of "masculinity" he's intelligent and prefers intellectual pursuits, rather than physical pursuits, and he treats women with respect... so therefore he must be a loser or a nerd. :-?

You don't have to be a nerd to show women respect. I am from Idaho, I consider myself masculine, intelligent, and not a "nerd." But you better believe I show respect to women. The reason more masculine guys do not show respect to women is because of their home lives. You can most likely trace the way they act back to their fathers. My question is that what you and the woman studies class came up with? That you can't respect women if your are a masculine guy?
