This was during a freak snow storm in Buffalo NY 10/13/06. I didn't edit the video so there is a short clip before the driving starts. I had to get a download to convert the file so there is a water mark, you should still get the feel of what it was like here the night it started. It's long but worth watching :-) First video so be nice! Thanks

2:00 AM so it wasn't full blast yet. The rest of the night all we heard were trees craking & falling. It was pretty insane!

I'm from Oswego County (we got 9-11 feet of snow in one week this same winter). My grandparents live down in Williamsville, so we went out to help them as soon as the Thruway opened up. The only people going into Buffalo were us, tree-trimming and logging trucks, and power trucks. Going down Transit, we saw all of the trucks that came in to help staging in front of the mall with the National Guard. It was bizarre...

you got that rihgt it was insane. I couldn't beleve how bad it was. It was cold as hell in my house because it had no power at all. hearing the tress cracking and falling was insane but driving in it sucked you couldnt see in front of you becasue my mom picked me up from down town and took the 33 home that wanst a good idea but it was the only way.

The point is, this isn't winter. It's the second week of fall when 22" of snow fell in about 12 hours. The trees were all in full leaf, which meant the damage or destruction of hundreds of thousands of trees...

I remember dropping my girl off and driving down Broadway back to Alden and having no lights on. I get to my house and the power shuts off there. We didn't have power for 8 days. Tree on the pool. But me and my friends made the most of that shit. All you saw that night was transformers blowing and all you heard were trees cracking and falling all over the place.

haha, Great video... I was in the city, i was driving to amherst from the kenmore-ish area around the same time. Breath taking. I like the commentary "hey! where's their tree go, fat assh0les... is that part of it? EHEHAH"

wow i always wnted to knwo wat 77 was liek and i got to see a hint of it. i was stuck in cheek for 2 days w/ no gas no money. a tree missed my car and at my ex's and his family OMG lol i couldnt belive it, No heat eletric or cell ot INTERNET!!!

this storm was nuts. The whole area looked like a war zone after for the next few weeks. and as if that wasn't enough, all the towns were nit picky about who you had to have the limbs out at the end of your driveway. If you didn't have them nice and neat they refused to pick them up for you.

I live in Buffalo this storm was interesting to see and experience but it was sad after the storm because lots of trees died.I remeber going to tift farms with my boyfriend and him telling me how diffrent it look with so many trees broken,ruined or just plain no longer there.

whats even worse is that the towns, especially amherst... are cutting down the full trees that were only mildly Damaged... its ridiculous
they cut down the whole tree instead of simply trimming it... my whole street is almost empty now...
