Not hardly. george lopez sucked in "Shark Boy and Lava Girl" and that was a kiddy Disney movie. lopez has no talent and doesn't even rely on the music of his own culture to represent a television show about his own culture. Chicano music isn't as cool as Soul Music apparently. So lopez had to lift music from Black American culture as the so-called "theme song" for his chicano show. Not racist. That's reality. No. This isn't the "theme song" for george lopez. "Lowrider" is a great Soul Music song created by and representing the culture of Soul Music and black Americans. Saying "Lowrider" represents george lopez is like saying James Brown's "Say It Loud! I'm Black And I'm Proud!" represents NASCAR.
lopez is trying to make a song from black American culture, the "chicano anthem". That simply shows how unimaginative that no-talent is.

Good point, surgedark. lopez said his show was intended to create more exposure for chicanos and hispanics in entertainment t.v. His show was a chicano show, but the so-called "theme song" for his show was not a song of chicano culture. However, because lopez has been riding it so hard and even calling "Lowrider" the "chicano anthem", many people believe this song created by black American Soul Music culture is actually chicano culture. lopez is a fraud in my book.

It is just the fact many children never look into good music and when the song played on the George Lopez show, they somehow got the idea that George Lopez made this song.

There aren't any clips of any t.v. show in this "Lowrider" music video. This video does show those responsible for the creation of the song "Lowrider" and nothing in the video shows evidence of having anything to do with george lopez or chicano culture.
