Uploaded by: flatpickingGuitar
Video Description:
This clip is an excerpt from the "Advanced Bluegrass Rhythm Guitar" DVD from Flatpicking Guitar Magazine featuring Wyatt Rice. In addition to teaching advanced rhythm techniques to a number of bluegrass standards, Wyatt also teaches the rhythm accompaniment that he uses when backing up his brother Tony Rice in the Tony Rice Unit. Here Wyatt shows his rhythm technique on Tony's tune "Manzanita". Tony also appears on two other segments of this DVD, playing "Waltz for Indira" and "Devlin." I like JP, though- he's a great picker.
Don't forget to throw Cody Kilby, Mark O'conner, and Tim Stafford into the mix of great flat pickers. I think Cody Kilby is the best guitar player Ive ever seen in person.
