St. Anger is one of their better albums, in my opinion. It is really perplexing to me why a lot of people don't like it. I mean sure, it's a lot different than their older records, but you can't play the same shit for 20+ years without getting bored with it. Metallica doesn't need to keep playing the same style of music just to satisfy their fans. How do I feel about the steely sounding snare drum and the absence of guitar solos? A welcome fit; they build character.
