If she had more speed going into it that triple axel would be clean every time. Someone can confirm, but I suspect the reason she didn't medal was cause it got downgraded to a double? Again no triple loop...Yukari just has such a positive personality, she's a joy to watch. *watches entire program* Okay, WTF.... YUKARI SHOULD HAVE WON THE WHOLE THING!!!! SHE WAS ROBBED!
F-ing figure skating....even if the axel did get downgraded she still skated perfectly. Yukari is the real 2008 Champion

Ack...seriously - Yuna Kim 64 technical points despite several mistakes, Yukari Nakano is flawless and gets 61. Bull F-ing shit. I am so pissed about this. And she didn't even get a medal when she was the ONLY skater who was clean throughout the whole competition. reminds me of Michelle kwan in 1995 Birmingham. Jumps aside, Yukari has quality all around too. This is such a robbery.

I love yukari nakano, but I think the reason that her score was lower is because of her quality of jump. She has THE BEST spin and position for sure, but her jumps had lots of problems. Right now, in figure skating, the jump is more important than the spin, so it is how it is. Again, I love her over Mao because of her positive spirit and artistry.
