These 10 minutes are fantastic. I can't watch this enough. "The Catch" to me, was the greatest moment in 49er history.

Ronnie Lott really makes you feel the excitement of what they went thru. You knew he would not let them lose to Dallas...he really was a special player. Ronnie was to the defense what Joe was to the Offense...The leader of their side of the ball.

Duude, Tom Brady is ... ( 3 months ago by blueice188)
Duude, Tom Brady is the polar opposite of Joe Montana. did you see him at the superbowl? He hardly appreciates that offensive line of his and he was acting all whiny when he finally felt like he was losing, which was probably why the giants' def. line demolished the patriots because the patriots' ofensive line wouldn't want to play their asses off for Brady like the 1981 niners did for Joe Montana.

Funny how the 80's 49ers and the 90's Cowboys dynasty started in candlestick park. Only in 1992, the roles change.

Yeah, but still Brady was present when "The Catch" happened. He said so in an interview.
Just because you think Brady and Montana are "polar opposites" doesn't mean that Montana wasn't a huge influence. I mean Vince Young cites Brett Favre as his greatest influence, and I wouldn't exactly say they had similar playing styles...
look, i'd believe ... ( 1 month ago by blueice188)
look, i'd believe that montana was an influence on Tom but he was probably just an influene to him as a football player. I think they're polar opposites beacause of the way they carry themselves.

Great video!
The 1981 49ers did it all.
The game against the Cowboys is an all-time classic!
That catch was amazing, but not as amazing as what San Fransisco did that year.
They went on to be the Team of the Decade!

Hahahahaha!!!!!! Dallas lost three straight NFC Championship games in the early 1980's. 1980 to Philly, 1981 to San Francisco and 1982 to Washington. As a Skins fan, you gotta love that. "We want Dallas! We Want Dallas!"

I have been watching football since 1971. I refer to this game as the zenith of football. No single game or moment in my football experience is above it.
