Bands like Radiohead don't make music for money.
Bands like Radiohead make music because it's what they're meant to do.
They could have quit ten years ago if they were in it for the money, you idiot.

The RHCP songs you speak of sound like just the singles, the stuff the general public hears. A real bands guts are in the depths of the CD, everyone knows that.
Explore the old AND the new RHCP some more and then tell me they can't write lyrics.
