i have grown up playing softabll ive played since i was 4 and then 2 years ago i played baseball for the first time yes a softball is harder 2 hit then a baseball.

People who play baseball know that its more about the movement and placement of the ball more than speed. If you throw a hundred miles per hour but throw it straight, its going to get hit as oppose to a 90 mph cutter on the inside corner. Plus you have the best pitcher in softball going against a college pitcher. Im not saying its easier to hit finch but this study is flawed with too many cracks.

finally! someone proves softball is the same if not harder than baseball! all the guys in my gym class make fun of softball and say it is easier than baseball but apparently it isn't! HAHA! gosh, some quys think they r so much better that girls but they r not ;)

most of you people don't get it. you all have discrimination in mind. it's all about inclination, if you're a softballer or a baseballer. of course, even if it looks the same, it's entirely different in the way it's executed. even traded players have a hard time adjusting to a new team even if they're playing the same game.

My daughter played softball(pitcher) through High School. After she reached about 15-16 years old I was afraid to catch her. And I played baseball myself up through High School.
Yes, its true you can't really compare baseball and softball. They are unique sports. I am a big Baseball fan. GO PHILLIES! But, if you are not familiar with fast-pitch Softball, Don't knock it. The girls are great. Real players. Smart and tough. Plus a lot less posturing and pouting than the boys.

How about getting a softball player to hit a pitch from an MLB pitcher. They wouldn't be used to it and would struggle with it, just because it's different. This is a completely flawed scientific study and proved nothing.

i softball they use light aluminum bats the ball is bigger and in the test they used the best pitcher in softball Jennie finch. Why don't they use the best pitcher from the majors and they only tested a fastball if they were to test different pitches it would be alot harder in baseball because they can throw more pitches than in softball and they should also put Albert Pujols to hit and give him 100 pitches so he can get used to the rising action

barrels for us depend on hitter. barry bonds hit with a rather skinny bat which isnt very common for power hitters. and alfonso soriano, who lugs a bat that is probably as thick as his arm, if not, thicker. it's all about preference. plus your guys' bats are metal, which is lighter, and you guys can get your bat through the strike zone faster than we can.

it's because our guy was used to hitting off of a baseball pitcher, not softball pitcher.
