D & M Rehearsal Part 2--Dean Storms Out

The rehearsal begins with Jake giving Dean and Jenna notes on what they'll be doing. Dean asks Lorna for his coffee, then asks her to add milk to it. Jenna isn't wearing a leotard, so they take a five-minute break so Hannah can help Jenna get into her costume. Paulina tells Matt that Dean might be shooting himself in the foot with Lorna, and Matt tells his sister there's nothing he can do about that. But then Matt tells Lorna she shouldn't have to take this bull from Dean. Lorna says she does have to take it, at least for a little while, and if she sees anything she doesn't like, she'll jump on it. She asks Matt why he didn't come by and get his stuff the night before, and Matt says he didn't have time and maybe he'll come by tonight. Jake and Dean finish discussing some of the technical aspects of the video, and Matt pulls Dean into a conversation while Jake goes over to talk to Paulina. Jake asks Paulina how her date with Kevin went the night before and is not happy when Paulina tells Jake he can ask Kevin
himself when Kevin comes to pick Paulina up from the rehearsal. Meanwhile, Matt tries to get Dean to back off of Lorna, but Dean refuses, informing Matt that he doesn't want Lorna there so he's going to ride Lorna until she either quits or gets fired, and he doesn't care what Matt thinks about that. Then Jenna comes out in her costume and Dean blows a gasket, asking Lorna if she's the one responsible for Jenna's costume. Matt, Hannah, and Jake all inform Dean that this is the costume everyone agreed on. Dean gets more upset, thinking that they're all being insensitive to Jenna's feelings after what happened with the tape on Felicia's show. Paulina tries to break up the shouting match between Dean, Jake and Matt, and Lorna goes over to talk to Jenna, asking her if she's feeling any better. Jenna says Lorna will be happy to know that the answer to that is not really. Lorna replies that she's not happy to know that at all, and she would give anything to relive the moment she gave Hannah the tape. Jenna says Lorn
a wouldn't give as much as Jenna would to relive that moment. Lorna tells Jenna she doesn't have to do the video if she doesn't want to. Jenna asks Lorna if that's what Lorna wants. Lorna says no, she was just thinking of Jenna and...never mind. With the costume debate/fight successfully ended, Dean says they'll just look at the dance now, and everyone scatters to their different places. Jake tells them where they'll take it from, and Jenna asks Dean if he's okay now. Dean says he is, but everyone keeps telling him that he's oversensitive. Jenna tells him he is, but she loves for it, and kisses him. Jake asks if they're ready, and then Jenna starts her dance. About halfway through it, Dean starts yelling for the music to be turned off, and another argument ensues between Dean, Jake and Matt when Dean says that the choreography is all wrong; this is not a seduction song, this is a song about love, about finding love, not getting in the way of love. When Jake yells that they agreed this would be hotter than the
last video, Dean says hot is fine, but Jenna doesn't have to dress like this, and he gestures to her costume and says this is wrong and it doesn't cut it. When Matt asks Dean what Dean would say if Matt and Jake say this does cut it, Dean replies that if that's the case, they can find another star, because he's not doing some porno show with Jenna. He picks up his coat and starts to storm out with Jenna calling after him. Matt brings him back and tells him he can't walk out in the middle of rehearsal and he's overreacting. Dean says he's not doing some porno flick. Dean says the song is not about sex, it's about love, it's about everything good. It's about Jenna. "Does anybody have any sympathy for what she just went through?" Dean challenges. "Anybody?" Jenna comes over to try and calm Dean down. Jake suggests they reblock the scene; Matt suggests Jenna change costumes. Dean says no, they're going home. Then Lorna gets into the fight, saying there's a limit to how many of these bogus star trips Dean can pul
l, and if he's not careful he'll wind up like Danny, and then she calls Dean a has been. Dean says it's his song and if Lorna can't do it right, or Matt or Jake, then they're not doing it at all, and then he does storm out, leaving Jenna with the rest of the D &M gang at the rehearsal.
