Also this narrator is wrong when he said "usc would have a chance to play in its 3rd straight championship game"
They didnt get to the championship game in 2004. LSU did, and they won the BCS title, which is the only title there is
The next year Auburn was in the same position as USC but they were undefeated unlike USC in 04. How come they didnt share that year? It was because they didnt get to the BCS title game
Two USC penalties in the last USC drive
#1 USC called time out and had none
#2 Bush pushed lienart
And they won against ND but got smoked by vince young.
In 04 they didnt make it to the championship game so there could be no way they made it to three straight.
USC is 2 and 1. They lost to Oregon State.
Notre Dame is 3 and 1.
Seems like Notre Dame has more wins (shitier wins) but still more wins.
And i was referring to the 05 season with the war. They lost and ended up in the same place as ND. Without a championship.
And if you want to look at things as a whole.
ND 11 championships
USC 7 Championships
ND is 42-32-5 vs USC.
USC is extremely overrated in a weak pac 10, but ND is shit. USC is good not great
I said the announcer was wrong in saying that they would "play in a third straight championship game".
They only played in two in a row. The first year they didnt play in it.
But here is a fact about the BCS.
By agreeing to participate in the current system, schools also recognize that the BCS produces an indisputable national champion.
USC did not win the BCS title. They also did not play i the championship game. They should have (OU got lucky) but they didnt
the game right before the BCS title game, OU got blown out. the only loss USC had that season was a triple overtime loss to California who was way better than most of the teams OU played that year.
and. USC and OU met in the BCS game the next year where both teams were pretty much the same teams from last year. and USC blew them out. USC was better than OU and that's all there is to it
