My Great Grand parents were family farmers in Union Mills Indiana and John Mellencamp's Video expresses concern for the plight of Family Farmers and the fate of our Farms and the way of life that is being destroyed in the process. We are slowly watching America fade away as The Family Farmers become a thing of the past. This video explains the urgent need to address the fate of one of America's Greatest assets and that is the Family Farmer. I think that this video expresses this concern better than any other Music Video before or since. What do you Think?

Everytime I hear this song, it reminds me of our central Indiana family farm. We didn't lose it to banks, but when my grandmother died, our rich uncle bought it and when his children inherited it, they sold it, which was their right, but it hurts.
