Navy's upset over Notre Dame (Play-of-the-Game)

After 43 consecutive losses to Notre Dame, the United States Naval Academy midshipman finally end the streak on November 3, 2007. This video is a tribute to that victory and the "Play of the Game" by Ram Vela (#34) of Navy. This video highlights Notre Dame's fateful decision to go for it on 4th-and-8 on the Navy 24-yd-line. Navy eventually won the game, in triple overtime, 46-44.

Your dumb, if you think this will ever happen to ND again your wrong. Charlie isn't going anywhere and he will have this fixed sooner than later. Why do you think they gave him a long contract? It takes a little time, they went 9-3 , 10-2, and two BCS games in his first two years. (Brady was a Jr in Weiss first year) Wait till Clausen is a JR.

The only reason why Charlie was given the long term contract is due to the fact that the New Orlean Saints made him an offer. Thus, he gave Notre Dame the choice and with out getting mud on thier faces after Willingham being expelled, Charlie received the extension. If next year is close to the same, Charlie will be paid off and Notre Dame will get a new coach. The Alumni don't put up with this!GO IRISH!

NO your retarded, yea ND is extremely young but so is Navy...Navy only loses 2 RB's ( Campbell #7 is one of them) and about 2 current starters on defense, the Navy-Notre Dame game for the next 3-5 years will be the best games of the storied series, i can guarentee you that the meetings will go back and forth every year....

And whats wrong with that? They are both Independent and it's a long term rivalry that is good for college football. I'm not ashamed to lose to Navy, those young men are playing harder than the normal college players , because they know they are not going pro. I went to a Navy-ND game before and there was nothing but respect shown on both sides.

Why would we do that stupid? Did they fire Jo Pa when he had a bad season? No dip shit, you have to give them time to do something first,we would be stupid to let him go already. No shit were not the Notre Dame 70 years ago ,but why do you think their is so much to live up to in South Bend? Because of the tradition of excellence that is expected year in and year out. Not that easy to find top notch players that can handle the academics of a private school. Not in this day and age.

Great job! Wow! Could the 2007-2008 school year be the year where Navy ends two huge losing streaks against a rival in two different sports? That is, against Notre Dame in football after 43 seasons and against Hopkins in lacrosse after close to 40 seasons. So far, Navy is halfway there! Wouldn't it be awesome and almost historic in the history of college sports if it happened?
